SCRATCHING POST NEEDS GOOD HOME
One of the Inspectors is leaving our force and I was wondering if anyone can provide a good home to the scratching post and catnip that he left behind?
He is more commonly known as the station cat because I have never seen him out, in uniform.

In my old nick we had a ‘community safety team’like that. How they ever managed to keep the community safe I don’t know as they never left the building. On second thoughts I exagerate, occasionally one of them might go out, to get some lunch [only ever worked 9-5],wearing a civvy jacket and minus a radio!

Glad you decided to stay, your blog is highly entertaining and i think joe public should be aware of the crap you have to deal with at work.I make a point of smiling at any police officer i see and if they come to my labouw ward i offer tea and toast if i have time. They probably think i,m on the pull but so what ,a man in uniform can elevate the mood in a place that usually resembles an international airport (i can actually say “push” in 6 different languages). keep bloggin you are very entertaining

In my day, Station Cats were usually P.Cs!! Don’t know whether they still exist. They were, Process Section, Juvenile Bureau, Enquiries Section, Aliens, Firearms, etc., etc.
The only time u could ever find them outside the station was every other Saturday. They could then be found doing Overtime at a football stadium nearby!
