I have had a reply from my MP and got a load of politicising statement making of absolutely no value or support what so ever.
The Government have a really big problem with what they are trying to deliver because they have bitten off far more than they can deal with. They continue to try to promote the brand as it sinks around their necks yet they refuse to see anything that they do is wrong. There are a constant list of excuses and deflections but at the end of the day we will be done over by people who simply do not give a shit about us.
They have now got their ‘early release’ policy in the spotlight and will get more negative reporting over this.
They have bigger things to worry about than us, for example how are they going to get theirselves ahead in the opinion polls again ? How are they going to win the next general election ? Who can they offload the responsibility for whatever is the problem of the day ? They sure as hell won’t look at themselves, it will be someone else’s fault.
Absolutely nothing to do with saving money.
Absolutely nothing to do with efficiency savings.
Absolutely nothing to do with them as they have the public interest as their priority.
Absolutely nothing to do with them because one of their supports says so.
They want the whole world to be judged on the targets they set but have no targets for the world to judge them by as they are totally unaccountable.
Until it becomes time for that little X to mark the spot.
Wee Gordy will just continue to back her and make all sorts of claims about the economy, inflation etc etc etc. Was this all her own work to get some brownie points or was she put up to it by someone else ?
The dirty deed has been done and the pay arrangement is now history, as they have wanted for a while.
I saw prime ministers question this morning and GB made his position quite clear that he was the driving force behind the whole fiasco. Some crap about the economy and money for extra officers on the street. He is losing any credibility he had before this, which to be frank was not much.
As for that sour faced cow sat next to him, she is just his lap dog who is doing as she is told.
To be quite honest I didn’t see any evidence of the Tories criticising or questioning the move. I think it’s something they are happy for the current gvt to do, so they wont have to. They are all thinking of themselves.
This is part of a reply from an MP. Not relly an answer but just another political statement. The words are interesting, the words affordable, performance and the apparant sense they see in the Gov’t direction is equally as worrying.
David Cameron has set out the need for greater flexibility in police pay and conditions. For example, we believe that there should be more scope for officers to be paid in relation to skills and performance. We, therefore, see some sense in the Government’s wish to move in this direction. However, we are clear that any changes must be workable on the ground. With this current Government the devil is always in the detail and their proposals will be scrutinised closely.
The way in which the Government has conducted these negotiations has left much to be desired, not least because it does not appear that Sir Clive’s review is truly independent from the Government. I understand the concerns of police officers about the current situation. I hope that a new mechanism for negotiating police pay and conditions can be agreed later this year.
Any settlements reached under it must be affordable, but I believe that they should also reflect the special nature of policing.
My MP has been so silent, like the whole of the Conservative party that it actually says a lot about what the ‘party of law and order’ think about us. They are about to undo much of the good work that they have done with the police FORCES prior to outlining their furture policies if they come to Government in one fell swoop. The Home Secretary has handed them more ammunition than they could possibly wish for. Her deceit, lies and lack of integrity at being Gordons ‘lap dog’ and what does he do at PMQ’s – takes a few cheap swipes at Gordon (clearly got him angry mind you), but no substance. Shameful.
MPs talking about performance – cold shudder. I hope they aren’t going on about performance related pay again.
That will be as bad a situation as it is now. Cops having to make up their pay by chasing targets. Folk will be getting lots of tickets, arrested for everything and we’ll detect lots – of pure crap that will really cheese the public off.
I for one will be cutting their income by just giving words of advice instead of tickets, like we used to before the Labour Bean Counting idiots came to power, that will win a few friends, less money in the coffers for the pre election brainwashing campaign.

I hope it is.
I think it is disgusting what she has done.
Nobody should be treated like this.

I would like to think it is, seems like she has lost a few friends on this one.

The Home Secretary won’t last long. She’ll be sacked soon. This is just unbelievable incompetence Southwest.
In one move this Home Secretary has badly affected the PM’s credibilityrs.
People will now think, if they do this to the police, where will they stop?

Am I slurring? I can’t slur, I hardly drink.
